Of course it was the wrong thing to do on a college thesis, and of course Hogsbreath knew he was stealing. What does Princeton (or any other university) think they can do about it now? They can rescind his degree, sure, but then they'd have to do the same for a large number of American college graduates for the last 50 years.

My point is that this is exactly what AI bots do all day long - copy previously written texts and regurgitate them to random Googlers on request.
