The problem is that we are not in "normal times". There is an administration in place right now that is completely unprecedented in scope and has essentially become "a reality show", as has the "news" that is associated with it.

One can put the blinders on and ignore "the crazy" while they actually enact "the crazy" into law and by their "executive actions" - almost literally in the manner of Muskrat's "chain saw" performance.

As a note, I was thankful to have RETIRED from the federal government 2 weeks after 45's first inauguration and didn't have to deal with his first term's insanity but have plenty of family, friends, and former coworkers (a pile who were recently laid off) who have had to suffer through that AND the current iteration of it.
