Starting this month, Social Security recipients can no longer verify their identity online.


That is a false statement.

All other reports I searched for state an individual must come in person ONLY IF THEY CANNOT VERIFY THEIR IDENTITY USING THE “MY SS” PORTAL, not in all cases.

The option to verify identity online still exists.

You should delete this OP, as it is spreading misinformation.
