At our house, wine bottles fell off a wine rack. I'm probably 30 to 50 miles away as the crow flies. I was at the chiropractor when it hit and all the doctors and patients came running out of the rooms.

The county sent a shake alert that came within seconds of when the shaking started, so we all knew right away that it was as quake, not a sonic boom or truck going by, so people ran under doorways.

Boulders came down and blocked a rural highway, and a lot of people had minor messes to clean up, but so far I haven't heard of any structural or infrastructure damage other than a power outage that was restored within hours near the epicenter.

The scary part is this fault line is capable of a 7.5--more than 20 times stronger than today's moderate quake.
