Just return the police to their original jobs... protecting the business sector.

Form another agency to assist and help the public. Form yet another one to address violent acts.

Each should be on patrol in their areas. Except the ones who deal with violence. They are on standby in case they are needed.

And, here is the kicker. Fund each department as they rank on need. If the 'community ambassadors' get the most calls, they get the most funding. Not funding by department demand, funding by pubic demand.

Also, any and all seizures are held by the state and used where they are needed, not by the department that made the seizure.

Watch how fast things change once their bloated, sacred budgets, current societal position as a defacto monopoly, and their seizures are threatened.
