Two comments here:

One: you can close the dust cover at any time, and it’s a good idea that you do down there.

Two: there’s no way in hell they handed Kristi Noem live ammunition. You must go through an agency’s training system before they issue you ammo, and she hasn’t. Border Patrol Academy is six months long.
