2. What did you do before the ACA? At least according to the ACA federal plan based on your income

and dependents you would qualify for a subsidy if it was less than a certain amount.

If you cannot afford the premium with or without the subsidy, you may want to talk to the ACA and see what alternatives you have.

I know that defeats the purpose of getting insurance, but if it fits your category at least you won't be penalized
