Royal Catchfly. A drop dead beautiful red flower that I collect the seed of .. it was just
about wiped out in Ohio and a small population survived and with controlled burns and
good management from ODNR’s Natural Areas and Preserves it has been saved.

It can be bought from some native plant nurseries now such as Prairie Nursery.
If you are in its native range plant it with some Prairie Drop Seed or Little Bluestem
Bergamot, Rudbeckia hirta, Stiff Goldenrod, and maybe some Sky Blue Aster.
