Sure, if you got in early on BYC, you made a lot of money…. Even now. But that’s not most people. Most people bought late or bought various shit coins trying to “get in early” on another coin. The vast majority lose big. That’s just what the data shows.

If you bought in early and made money, good for you. But remember what you bought: the hope that someone will pay more for your coins than you did.

These are not really currencies. Very, VERY few people use them for purchases. You don’t own anything except the token as a proxy for currency people actually use. And even people who do use them as currency are paying prices pegged to dollars, not BTC.

TLDR: it’s speculation, not investment.

If your speculation paid off, awesome. That doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.
