The frequency of visits by Trump, 80, to Walter Reed Military Hospital is highly unusual. Most Presidents have an annual physical checkup. Today's visit would mark at least the fourth visit to the hospital for the elderly President since returning to office last January.
Trump sought to make light of the return visit - saying: "I do it every six months". He began referring to taking "six month physicals" instead of annual checkups with his last visit to Walter Reed on 26 May, just 46 days ago.
Trump also claimed he had "requested another Cognitive Test, three times and I aced them all - Got every question right." The test Trump is referring to is not a test of intelligence, but an assessment used by clinicians to identify the early signs of dementia. Experts say the efficacy of the test is diminished by taking it repeatedly.
