If we buttedout and the Strait of HOrmuz remained closed, how long do you think that would persist before the rest of the world built a coalition to clean their clocks? That's whose fight it might be.

There is too much sordid baggage between the US and Iran for any honest negotiations at this point, and it's not all due to Fatso. It goes all the way back to the early 1950s when the anti Commie nutbars got conned by the UK into helping overthrow their last democratiocally elected government and install the Shah, a brutal dictator but who knew which side of his bread was oiled, er, buttered on.

I don't like theocracies any better than you do. I especially despise hypocrites who are so thin skinned they slaughter their own people for protesting. However, this is not our war and trying to make it so has made things worse.

(I'm also not buying that video's premise, the hatred is now generational)
