10. Condolences on the loss of your grandmother

yes, it is so hard. I hope your family has found peace and the blessings of fond memories.

Lately I have been thinking about Terri Schiavo and the whole legal nightmare about keeping her on the machines when the brain was gone.

Oddly enough, that case also hearkens back to using a defenseless victim of reality for benefit of others. And oddly enough that case involved a then member of the US Senate. Bill Frist, then FL Senator, is part of a family that owned a big medical corporation. They got $ for Schiavo's 'care' and the GOP got a lot of 'pro-life' propaganda from it.

So serious and contentious was the legal battle that the US Senate was called back into session to deal with it. If memory serves, I do believe ol Mitch was the top dog of the GOP held Senate at that time.

Fate has a peculiar sense of humor sometimes, eh?
