7. Did hospital staff finally put foot down and refuse to continue pointless life support?

Friday

Chaplain and a doctor told me they tried, but the brain just would not restart and I had to make the call: keep machines on pointlessly, or face reality. They cried. But they were honest and brave. I am grateful they didn't hide reality.

How long has Mitch been in hospital? At some point even the best insurance won't be enough for doctors to hold a bed for someone with no chance if the power goes off.
