1. I've been wondering what Blanche is getting out of his job besides his government salary.

As AG he'd be high up on the government pay scale - it's a Level I executive position for which the salary was $250,600 as of January 2025. Not bad, but peanuts compared to what he was making in private practice - he'd been a partner at the white-shoe firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft until he left to represent Trump. Cadwalader's equity partners typically make about $3M per year. He earned $10M representing Trump in his criminal trial, and was paid by Trump's PAC. So I have to wonder whether Trump or the PAC is paying him under the table.
