The dweeb that fired distinguished journalist Scott Pelley doesn’t even have a college degree. From Wikipedia, he was one of three writers of this little gem…

Marketed by HBO as "the sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood,"[15] the proposed story of a woman finding herself sexually was rewritten into a show about a man who gets to abuse this woman sexually and she loves it, aka "sexual torture porn"
