which were appropriated to the Israeli government, where the cash was then transferred to American media.

And please don't argue that the American money to Israeli government was for defense. Money is fungible, IOW, can be transferred around. If American dollars come in, that frees up already existing Israeli money to go to other programs. I don't recall any demands for accounting of our contributions even if the money wasn't transferred.
