Here in the UK, most supermarkets carry organic cold-pressed rapeseed oil.

Its smoke point is high, so it can be used safely for frying, and its flavour is mild enough to use raw. (I believe North American farmers bred out the bitterness in culinary-grade canola quite some time ago, but the highly processed type is still most commonly available in that region.)

It's also a whole lot cheaper than olive oil (especially nowadays when olives' prices have gone though the roof), and it can be grown readily in the UK, so what's not to like?
