I've been a backyard astronomer for over 25 years and was invited to what we call a 'star party' in 2005 - set up your kit in a specified place and spend the night under the stars with like-minded folks.

There was 'one of those' people wandering around, telling us to 'prove' we walked on the Moon. I asked if he was married. He nodded his head towards the woman who'd been following behind him - she had an apologetic look on her face. Apparently she'd been to this dance before.

So I told him to prove she was his wife. She started to grin and winked at me. He pointed to the wedding ring on her finger. I told him it was a fake - he gave to the woman 2 hours ago when he picked her up in a bar.

He'd get their marriage certificate.
I replied "Fake."
He'd get the Priest who married them.
"Fake."
Said he'd introduce me to their wedding party.
"You mean the folks back at the bar?"

We went back and forth for a few minutes and he was getting pretty frustrated. Finally his wife took him by the arm and said "Honey it's late, let's go" and led him away, giving me another wink.

They're everywhere...
