9. I live 20 miles from the Canadian border

I always stand for the Canadian anthem.
I wrote this Sat evening.
My husband, along with my son, went on the Honor Flight this weekend.
Trump can never go on an Honor Flight, because he refused to serve his country like the men on Sat.

I could not help but think, my patriotism has undergone a shift during the Trump administration.
I kept thinking of my childhood, up until the Vietnam war, my love for this country was pure and simple. I marched as a Girl Scout, in 4th of July and Memorial Day parades with a flag
Hopefully, I will long enough to again be proud of what this country stands for.
They had a wonderful time.
Marred by the fact that there was a large group of "christians" blaring christian music at the Lincoln Memorial. No official stopped them.
