6. The plane that Cuba shot down was violating Cuban air space.

Not saying that it was the right action by Cuba, but the plane was dropping anti Castro leaflets on Cuban soil and had done it a few times before. Was it an offense that called for death, since the people in the plane did not survive the crash? That kind of action in US air space would probably result in US planes arriving to escort the foreign plane out of the country, or maybe forcing it to land.

But Cuba was defending it's air space against foreign attempts to create an insurrection.
