33. HE'S JUST A NITWIT HIRED TO BE A NITWIT

The head of the FCC is the same. Hired to do what Trump tells them to and never contradict their leader. That they are an embarrassment to their jobs rarely seems to bother Trump. The FBI has a history of major flubs. When a bomb was set off at the Olympics in Atlanta years ago, they tried to pin it a hapless security guard because the Olympics had been shut down and organizers were screaming that they had to reopen it or they'd lose millions of dollars. So the FBI claimed the guy who found the second bomb was a suspect and they stopped looking for anyone else! In spite of this giant blunder, Clint Eastwood made a movie about the guy (now deceased) claiming that a reporter got the tip by sleeping with an FBI agent, for which there is no evidence. What actually happened is that the FBI leaked the guy's name to take the pressure off them and the national media ran with it and tried him in the press. Jay Leno even did jokes about him and called him the "uni-doofus" because he was a fat guy. After he was cleared of the crime, he sued news organizations and got a big payout, including from NBC because of the Jay Leno joke.
