13. Almost

He's dying in front of the cameras. Bit by bit. Piece by piece. He's given up on speaking in full adult sentences. He walks like a lumbering idiot. He falls asleep any time he stops moving. He reads from the teleprompter like he's reading a grocery list. He ad libs rambling stories that make no sense. He sweats and pants when giving speeches. He wanders befuddled when visiting foreign countries.

Little by little, bit by bit, he's almost there.
