riding thrugh "war torn" portland. [View all]

Portland, Oregon — the so-called “war-torn disaster zone” you’ve seen on TV.
Except… it’s not.

In this episode of the JaYoe Nation Van & Trike Tour, I join the crew from Recumbent PDX for a relaxing group ride along the Willamette River during Fleet Week — sunshine, Navy ships in port, locals waving from bridges, and cyclists everywhere. No chaos, no riots, no flames — just friendly faces and an incredible city that’s alive and rolling.

This is what I love about travel — getting out there and seeing things for myself instead of accepting the headlines. Portland isn’t broken; it’s beautiful. And from the seat of my AZUB Ti-FLY X trike, every mile is proof that perspective matters.

Watch, ride along, and join me as the Van & Trike Tour continues through some of the most misrepresented — yet inspiring — corners of America. via the author
