Not a peep from Cheney or W Bush. Obama has said a bunch of words, but no call to action. We need to hear from ALL of them: Quayle, ,Clinton -- the former POTUSes and VPs should be coming forward as a team with one voice. We don't expect them to agree on policy, but if they cannot stand together for our Constitution and rule of law at this pivotal moment, then to hell with all of them.

And that goes for former speakers and majority leaders,: Hastert, Gingrich, Ryan, Pelosi, Boehner, McCarthy, McConnell, Schumer, Daschle, Frist -- ALL of them. Where are they?

Kudos to Gore for finally speaking the truth in plain English. Now pick up the damn phone and get the others on board. They should be planning the mother of all town hall broadcasts. And the opening statement should be something like:

In this room, we have most of the leaders of our government over the past generation. We have often been on opposite sides of public policy issues, sometimes bitterly so. But the one thing every man and woman on this stage has in common is love for our country and an absolute commitment to our Constitution and rule of law. We come before the American people tonight, not to debate public policy. That is not our role as former leaders, and our democratic form of government provides the framework for debating and deciding public policy. We don't always get that right, but it is a system that has worked for 250 years. We are here tonight to defend that constitutional system. and to turn back the forces that seek to turn this system into something completely different, something that would be totally unrecognizable and abhorrent to our founding fathers

If they cannot do this, then we must assume that they are actually in favor of the fascism that is upon us.
