(2,995 posts)Generally weak minded people - those with primarily a transactional ethos - are easy to manipulate because they don't operate on
principle. Bad religion also plays a part in the toxic environment because it encourages the "just world fallacy." By way of metaphor, we now know that many parasites will colonize a person's intestinal track and actually change the chemistry of the gut to make it more habitable for the parasite. Often the changes are not noticed until really dire symptoms are occurring. As our environment and national
discourse declines, it serves to amplify the most sociopathic elements because their plan is uncomplicated by concern for the environment or fellow citizens. These are simple transactional beings. No philosophy can explain their motivations because it aims too high. It is all about what is good for them at this moment, as horrifying as that sounds.
