48. Trump's ignorance comes through again. The new rules have made the kickoff relevant and exciting again

In the first week of the new season, with further adjustments to the kickoff rule, 75% percent of kickoffs were returned rather than downed or allowed to go through the end zone for a touchback -- the highest number of kickoffs put into play since 2010.

And last season, under the new alignment, there were nearly twice as many kickoffs returned for touchdowns as under the previous alignment.

Meanwhile, over in college football, only five of the top 25 ranked teams last season returned a kick for a touchdown, with four teams each returning one and BYU returning 3 kicks for TDs. There were seven SEC teams and four ACC teams in the top 25 and none of those 11 teams returned a single kickoff for a touchdown.
