and call for his own base to cease and desist. This wasn’t “Proud Boys, stand down and stand by,” it’s “Proud Boys, stand down.” 🤔

Of course he’s only trying to save his own hide as he learns that free speech used for ill comes with unexpected consequences. One of which is the probability of the MAGA pololital machine coming down on his head, even as they spout the same hatred he embraces. I’m sure he’s getting death threats from MAGA for influencing Robinson, from people who supported him in the past. He may have gotten calls from everyone from Alex Jones to Stephen Miller darkly implying harm would come to him if he didn’t tone it down.
