Running Tally of Investigative Mistakes Made By Kash Patel & Trump's FBI in the Charlie Kirk Assassination Investigation [View all]
Thus far, the second Trump administrations Federal Bureau of Investigation has:
Arrested a suspect on-scene for Obstruction of Justice and then let Utah Valley State University officials and national media wrongly tell the public that this arrest was of the shooter, without correcting that misinformation for over an hour;
detained a second suspect merely for interrogation, then allowed Utah Valley State University officials and national media to wrongly tell the public that this arrest was of the shooter, without correcting that misinformation for several hours;
posted to the official social media feed of FBI director Kash Patel a false claim that the shooter was in custody, which misinformation then had to be retracted;
allowed Patel to post about this case as it was ongoing in the first instance, which is inconsistent with FBI protocols (which send all comms through the Special-Agent-in-Charge on-scene, who briefs the media at regular intervals on-camera);
