2. True, but to me it's a distraction

It shouldn't matter what kind of a person he was. It was wrong to kill him. But they'll go after anyone who dares talk about what he stood for. As if that matters more than gun violence.

It's hard to be decent about it. The radical right declared war on so many people, and normalized violence against them. It's hard to feel badly about one of them getting murdered. It feels like a win, but it's not.
