As I suspected, this isn't a one time challenge.
This is the latest battle in an ongoing 20+ year war to erode the public confidence.
Sadly it has been working.
It was unsuccessful when it was just the cranks. But somewhere along the way, someone decided it could be a political issue in alignment with the "government-does-nothing-good" crowd. That is when it got the power and money of the political machine behind it.
RFK Jr. is just the useful idiot leading the charge.
