I remember months ago I called my DEMOCRATIC congressperson to advocate that they boycott the State of the Union. This was very early in his term, but I was already stunned and disappointed by the Dems tepid response. The intern who answered was clueless about that as well. Had no idea if my rep would boycott (she didn't).
