He probably did, but even if he didn't, he was almost certainly involved up to his neck in Epstein's extremely sketchy financial dealings. Epstein made a lot of money that's never been accounted for, at least publicly, and both he and Trump were relentless social climbers who did everything they could to cultivate wealthy investors. And why did Alex Acosta offer Epstein that ridiculous plea deal (with the help of the similarly sleazy Alan Dershowitz)? Epstein had been a big investor in Bear Stearns, which collapsed at about the same time as Epstein's first prosecution, and supposedly Acosta was directed to negotiate a lenient deal by higher-ups in the government (Alberto Gonzales was the AG then; has anybody talked to him?), who told him that Epstein was "an individual of importance to the government" with respect to a prosecution related to the fall of Bear Stearns. Epstein somehow got his investment back, too. Trump has been promising for a long time that he would release the Epstein files but he did a 180 when he found out his name is all over those files - so is he more afraid of being outed as a pedo, or as a money launderer and a sex trafficker?
And how is he involved with the unnamed people who were granted immunity as part of Epstein's plea deal? Follow the money.
