The respected Cleveland Clinic calls it a disorder.

"disease", "disorder", "illness" mean relatively the same thing in this context, though without connotations of an infection or external agency.

So what if it is a disease/disorder?
So what if it is not a disease/disorder?

Do you think he is being whitewashed when it is called a disease? Somehow being given sympathy he doesn't deserve? Disease/disorder is a description of a situation. Why does it matter to you what it is called?
