'Trump Posts Footage of US Missile Strike on Boat Leaving Venezuela'
"President Donald Trump on Tuesday shared unclassified video footage of the U.S. military carrying out a strike in the southern Caribbean against what he called a drug-carrying vessel departing from Venezuela."
"Trump alleged the boat was operated by the Tren de Aragua (TDA) gang and that 11 'terrorists' were killed in the rare U.S. military operation in the Americas...The State Department has designated TDA, which originated in Venezuela, as a foreign terrorist organization...Tuesday's strike follows Washington's recent decision to expand its naval presence off Venezuela to counter Latin American drug cartels, though officials have not signaled any plans for a land incursion."
Trump posted Tuesday: "Earlier this morning, on my Orders, U.S. Military Forces conducted a kinetic strike against positively identified Tren de Aragua Narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility. TDA is a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, operating under the control of Nicolas Maduro, responsible for mass murder, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and acts of violence and terror across the United States and Western Hemisphere."
"The strike occurred while the terrorists were at sea in International waters transporting illegal narcotics, heading to the United States. The strike resulted in 11 terrorists killed in action. No U.S. Forces were harmed in this strike. Please let this serve as notice to anybody even thinking about bringing drugs into the United States of America. BEWARE! Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!!!!!!!!!"

This attack took place in "international waters." There's no evidence drugs were on board, or the passengers were "Tren de Aragua Narcoterrorists." And there's no way in hell such a small craft, a primitive Panga-style open fishing boat with outboard motors, could make it to the United States. Trump is trying to find some bullshit pretext for launching an invasion of Venezuela to take back control of their (nationalized) oil industry.
