Just as it didn't work that way during his first term when far too many on DU imagined there would be someone who would prevent him from doing something like starting a nuclear war, or would take his cell phone away from him, etc.

The office of the presidency doesn't come with a parent. Generally, most presidents wouldn't have needed one anyway.
