1. Clinical trials with placebos is the gold standard of research

Trials are separate from going to the pharmacy to get vaccinated.

Trial participants know they are in a trial and know they could get a placebo.

There is nothing sneaky about this, just an extra burden and obstacle for approving new vaccines for younger people.
