and fled for reasons from domestic violence through substance abuse and into the boredom that exists between two people who are either unsuited or who have simply outgrown each other. I was one of those and my friends ran the whole gamut.

I can say that my 40 years without him have been much better than the years I spent with him. Just the reduction in stress and work load were enough to convince me to remain single, a crazy cat lady with a job that paid the rent. It was enough.
