Texas and Idaho are also fighting EMTALA. EMTALA is the law that says that any hospital which takes federal funds must stabilize any patient, regardless of their ability to pay, before transferring them.

If Republicans destroy Obamacare, and get rid of EMTALA there absolutely will be people, women, men, children, who make it to the hospital but die when they are refused treatment.
