it was an alternative school, which would have worked except for it being in the middle of no damn where. However, it could have been retrofitted as community college or extension college space. Just spitballing ideas here. Some malls have been partially retrofitted as apartments, and that works too, depending on where they are located. Oddly enough, the other mall in the same city is still going great, probably because it's near residential housing and has adapted.
