9. They will pass "A" bill

They will NOT pass the bill that the House passed without making significant changes to it. They'll eventually agree to something which will get the necessary 50 votes. But no way Paul & Johnson vote for it unless there are significantly greater spending cuts.

So it remains to be seen what kind of balance the can strike to get the necessary votes. I expect that they will just write off Paul and Johnson as un-gettable and try to come up something that everybody else can put up with. I think there are definitely a lot more Republicans in the Senate who would be uncomfortable with making the kind of cuts Paul & Johnson want (not to mention probable opposition in the house). Despite occasional screaming about it, pretty much everyone else in the Senate will have no problem agreeing to raise the deficit and the debt ceiling significantly. The only thing they all agree upon is that the #1 priority is the tax cuts for billionaires.
