8. Every time I tell someone that I haven't had a T.V. for 15-20 years, they say "That's great!"

But when I go volunteer with my clients, many of them have the idiot box running.

I sort of feel the same way about broadcast radio - it's a linear presentation that leads one to listen drivel in between the content.

Being able to see a list of headlines and abstracts and then decide (on my time) what I want to watch/listen to is how I get my fixes.
