One of my candles of hope is that we’ve seen other countries in this hemisphere move from dictatorship back to democracy. Venezuela (pre-Chavez), Chile, Argentina, Brazil…

Despite the beliefs of childhood and assumptions baked into MAGA ideology, I’ve come to believe that there are fewer and fewer differences between the ways some Latin societies run their countries and the ways we run ours.

(If you want to call the MAGA/GOP Banana Republicans, go ahead)
