These Senators will eventually cave because of the threats of violence that will be unleashed upon them if they disobey dear leader, whether through stochastic terrorism or direct threats from their constituents. Fascist methods have been introduced and have already proven to be effective strategies to get opponents to eventually forfeit their spine. I never thought I’d see this madness become the central political strategy at play in this country, but here it is and it’s deeply frustrating and dangerous. Can it be stopped? I’m losing faith by the hour.
