She was just coming through a door and she was UNARMED. A jury could have awarded the survivors more money. If she was a civilian coming through a door and a street cop shot her dead it would most likely been seen as excessive force by a civil jury.

If she was armed then that could be a dangerous threat to the cop, but she was not armed.

IMHO.
