Trump claims the Big Bill cuts drug prices for us by 85% [View all]

Of course he always talks it up like an auctioneer: 50... 65...80.. 85%. Sold! Then he lies that if Dems don't sign on, drug prices will somehow increase. I think they'll stay the same.

The thing is, as I understand it, the drug price reductions will be on what Medicare pays, not patients. If someone has to buy the drug over the counter Bristol Myers has no obligation to honor the Medicare price. Even private insurance companies will likely not see a savings.

The goal here isn't to lower drug prices for Americans, it's to save money that Medicare spends to apply to his MAGA Tax cut. That's all.
Co-Pays will probably remain steep.
