3. 100% true. What did not sell (and will not sell) is Musk as a "daily high-profile media figure."

Wisconsin played into it. And the other thing is that Republicans like the carnage but don't like the guy behind it.

So no, I don't believe he's "gone" anywhere.

I just don't think that he and his little nose-picking brat are going to be in the Oval Office every time Trump has a "press opportunity."

Republicans are a cowardly lot. Some of them said, anonymously, things like "He thinks he's funny and he's not. He does his clown show and then sits there and acts hurt when no one laughs."

Problem is, he interferes with Republicans' ability to do truly rotten shit under the radar.

"Look! It's ELON! He's HIGH, and he's BOUNCING, and OH! He has a CHEESE HAT! I'll bet NO ONE in Wisconsin has EVER seen one of those!"

He wanted Trump-level adoration and that just wasn't in the cards, because he's a drug-abusing, smug, cruel, narcissistic, delusional scumbag.

And he lies as easily as Trump. The "DOGE" debacle was NEVER ABOUT "identifying and eliminating wasteful government spending." He got what he went in for. He'll continue to be an ongoing dirty trickster but if Trump has his way, it won't happen with full media coverage while Musk is standing next to him.
