1. The great unraveling

Only about 2” in, he says “I blew my stack” at “stupid people.” The sycophants laugh, like this is a cute and endearing response. In any kind of management situation, losing one’s temper and yelling is unacceptable. In management, people are advised to disengage in the situation and return to it when the angered person gets control.

This same press conference is discussed in another clip posted here, where Mary Trump tells the similarities in this behavior and his father’s, who lived with dementia for quite some time.

While he claims he was angry over a trade situation, the more likely scenario is that he is facing the fact that he has nowhere to turn with Epstein. Later he gets very wrapped up in his new defense on Epstein being a “Democrat” problem that has nothing to do with the fine work Republicans have done. I guess that would be the billions of the US Treasury that’s gone to Argentina.

2. When I look back at all the presidents in my lifetime, I find it hard to believe that we're stuck with this jerk

He cannot hold his temper, he lies constantly, he not only attacks anyone with whom he holds a resentment (especially the well-respected and experienced POTUS who he lost to) and instructs his minions to find something legally to indict them for and he's turned our long time allies (which we certainly need) into adversaries! Plus, he's a convicted felon and belongs behind bars. I often think of my parents and grandparents and what they would make of this surreal period in our history. There are times I have trouble believing it myself...
