If we aren't in a war, we will see tr💩mp impeached by the House again. No conviction is likely, as that is the now, Repig-controlled Senate's job. This all presumes there is will actually be a free, fair and open 2026 Midterm election. Imagine that! A 3x impeached president! That'll be a record that'll stand for quite awhile!

What does it take to motivate the Republicans? Nixon was forced to resign when his own party turned against him. According to Liz Cheney's book, House Republicans were afraid to vote yes on impeachment due to threats on their families or that they would be primaried. Of the 10 House Republicans who voted yes on impeachment, only 2 were elected to the next Congress. And of those who didn't vote in favor, the major excuse was that "he'll be gone soon, anyway."
