I suspect whoever arranged this meeting did so, to expose *rump's decline to them first hand, and to surreptitiously form oligarchic unison around a successive administration to *rump.

They want everyone on board in selecting Vance's Vice-President, and I wouldn't be surprised if they chose (Gaza is a good investment) Jared Kushner.
