Sen. Whitehouse Slams Trump DOJ Termination of Public Safety Grants - Senator Sheldon Whitehouse

May 15 - Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) remarks in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing warning that the Department of Justice’s termination of hundreds of grants will imperil bipartisan efforts in Congress and law enforcement agencies across the country to combat the opioid epidemic, reduce juvenile crime and delinquency, and help states save money and reduce recidivism.

Sheldon Whitehouse represents Rhode Island in the U.S. Senate, where he champions policies to uphold American leadership in the world, protect our planet in a changing climate, and hold the powerful accountable.

His presentations on the floor - exposing corruption and the dark money behind the scenes are like a master class.
